Athena Desai is a Holistic Trauma Specialist and Spiritual Coach blending Eastern medicine, shamanic healing, cultural anthropology, and soulful storytelling. A former NPR journalist turned acupuncturist and Reiki/yoga practitioner, she supports veterans, leaders, and trauma survivors in finding calm, intimacy, and spiritual connection. A first-gen Asian-American and lifelong seeker, Athena brings lived experience—from motherhood and music to heartbreak and healing—into her work. Like her namesake, she offers wisdom with fierce compassion, surprising humor & presence. She’s walked through fire, holds space for both the pain and absurdity of life. Athena has traveled the world, trained in communication, and believes in soul-level conversations that reconnect us to truth—with love, laughter & a little grit.
