Work Besties! Theme Song Written by Ralph Lentini @therallyband
Hi, I'm Claude and I'm Jess. We are corporate employees by day, entrepreneurs by night and work besties for life.
Jess:Join us as we explore how work besties lift each other up, laugh through the chaos and thrive together in every industry. Work besties Hi everyone. Welcome back to Work Besties who podcast, special edition Thanksgiving and what we are thankful for Already forgot. Not thankful for your lack of memory. No, all right everyone. This is a nice short and sweet episode. We just wanted to take a few moments of our time to show our appreciation and talk about a couple of things that we're thankful for. Claude, what are you thankful for so?
Claude:I'm thankful for you, of course, that you know you're the mastermind behind this whole Work. Besties who podcast, and if it was up to me we would still be, you know, on each other's couch sending each other memes which we still do, we still do regardless. But I wanted to thank you for really pushing me, because I think it's so rewarding and actually someone that worked asked me it's like well, I heard just push you into doing that podcast.
Claude:Are you still doing?
Claude:it and yes, I am because I actually enjoy it.
Jess:Um, we have we've made it almost a full year. Full year, right almost. We'll have 30 episodes by the end of this year.
Claude:I know, so exciting and of course. But what are you thankful for?
Jess:So I'm definitely thankful for you. I'm thankful for our partnership and willing to take the risk with me. I don't know that you originally thought that this was a real thing, no, or that I was really being serious, okay.
Claude:I'm going to remind everybody, because maybe you forgot about the first and the second episode because we're already at 30. But one day we were we all work besties. We were work besties and we thought we were hilarious. We still are hilarious, we are still hilarious, but now more people are witnessing it. A lot, a lot of people Wink, wink.
Jess:Like and subscribe. It takes so long.
Claude:Yeah.
Jess:But what I was saying? What happened with our origin story? Let's call it origin story.
Claude:So one day we thought we were hilarious. We even say, oh, we should have our own uh, not podcast, but reality show, reality. And then came the podcast and the day after we talked about it, jess already had a website not a website the word. What bestie name, our name, our instagram handle instagram handle a photo shoot and we had already set up an appointment to get a logo, so yeah, so it was. I'm like, oh, we are doing it, it's real, it's real, yeah, and then I cut you off.
Claude:I'm sorry, that's okay um, that's real, yeah, but then I cut you off.
Jess:I'm sorry, that's okay. That's one of the other things I'm thankful for. We definitely are. No, not the cutting off, but it's nice to see that you've just splayed as much as I clawed, splayed, um. No, I'm thankful for the fact that we are like a yin and a yang and we we push each other in different ways, but we both are better for it. I'm very appreciative of that, which I'm sure many of you in the work bestie community feel the same way, and or um, it's already happening, whether you know it or not, which is fantastic. And for those that don't have the work bestie, get one, because this is an amazing relationship. You need one, you need the one. If you do't have the Work Bestie, get one, because this is an amazing relationship to have.
Claude:You need one. You need one. If you do not have a Work Bestie, you're missing out. You're missing that building. You know system this building support system.
Jess:The support system, yeah, agreed, and you can vent. So, besides each other, I'm curious your perspective on what from the Work Bestie community you are thankful for? Anything?
Claude:else. Yeah, I mean we discussed together. I don't want to take your thing, no, go for it. Many fantastic people that, at the end of the day, also have worked best is understand the importance of it in all different industries, walks of life levels, parts of the country, everything you could think of.
Jess:It's been fascinating to see that community grow and supporting us, but supporting each other, finding ways to help educate and support amongst their own community, which is bringing us all together, which is fantastic. And I know my favorite thing. Well, there's many, but the one thing I'm really thankful for is we have made so many amazing partnerships and friends along the way with people that I don't know we would have had interactions with, and now I cannot. It will be a void. I cannot imagine not going a week or two without sending them a meme or responding to one of their memes, and that's just been fantastic. So to the content creator community out there, we adore you and we're enjoying so much about it.
Claude:You embraced us, right, because we are still the newbie, we were the newbie, we are still the newbie, we were the newbie, we're still the newbie. And hearing so many people like supporting us, giving us tips and tricks, um, I think it's fantastic. Yeah, you know, it goes back to the work best. See no competition, only support, support. So collaboration.
Jess:that was great and it and it goes beyond. And I know we've been able to help others and it's just been fantastic. So, for our humble beginnings, think about all the people that helped us from the very, very start.
Claude:Yeah, for example, Raph that created our jingle, so he actually created an original music for us, which is like so fantastic. Nobody never wrote me a song, and now we have one, and we have one. I do have another song written about me, but that's a story for another day, oh, yes, I want to know that, so I'm lucky.
Jess:Anyway, and then also thankful for all of you guys that are listening to us, especially we have a few that we know are very loyal to us and listen and or comment quite a lot, yeah. So we're very thankful for you all.
Claude:I know we've got A big shout out for our number one fan in Pennsylvania.
Jess:And all the new people that have joined us too. We've gotten a lot from different parts of the country, specifically East West Coast and Texas has been amazing yes, the Midwest and we're so excited to have you all on our journey. Please do provide us any recommendations on things you guys would be interested in to listen to and continue to be a part of our community.
Jess:We are so appreciative, so thank you so with that we hope you enjoy your Thanksgiving weekend, your time with family, friends or your work besties, and we'll catch you next week. Happy Thanksgiving.
Claude:Happy Thanksgiving and thank you again.
Jess:Bye. Remember, whether you're swapping snacks in the break room, rescuing each other from endless meetings, or just sending that perfectly timed meme, having a work bestie is like having your own personal hype squad.
Claude:So keep lifting each other, laughing through the chaos and, of course, thriving. Until next time, stay positive, stay productive and don't forget to keep supporting each other. Work besties.
